GRRR
I posted a post last night, but the net evidently wasn’t working, and didn’t post… so here it is:
“Well, 4 of my 5 trials are done… and I think most of them went ok. I have another at the end of the month.
Also in my life, the last couple of evenings I’ve spent helping out backstage with Dad for a performance of “Beauty and the Beast”… It’s been good fun, despite some setbacks. Part of the scenery is a large backdrop, broken into three sections. On one side is a town face, and on the other it is a balcony. This is broken into 3 sections, each about4 metres long, 1.5 wide and nearly 3 tall. Each of these weighs about 500 kg. Now, these are supposed to be turned around several times throughout the play, to change the scene. Therefore for the first performance, they were on wheels. Guess what happens half way through? The small wheels broke .
Lots of little ball bearings went all over the stage, and we had to move this huge prop by just scraping it along the ground. So after that, we now have to use blocks of wood covered in lubricant… which means it’s quite a workout! We are hoping to have big wheels by Wednesday though (There is a performance tomorrow, Wednesday, Friday and two on Saturday).
Other than that, I haven’t really done much with myself… so goodnight

So that’s where all you Boer’s have been!
But glad to read what you’re up to!
I thought it was just Jono! Sounds loads of fun!
Sorry we’ve not got to talk much in the last week or so!
Your friend,
Hanz.

That sucks when things break, especially in crucial moment such as you have described - I hope the big wheels help and don’t break!!
I hope you are having fun with the play!!
Hope to talk soon!
